In fact, it's one of the most heavily requested tutorials that I get. It's so difficult to find a really decent contact form that not only looks professional and contemporary but is also safe and secure, a contact form that protects your website from the threat of email injection but also validates the form automatically to save you a ton of admin work cleaning out your email inbox from half filled messages. You're also looking for a contact form that can be easily adapted to fit any website. So were going to make a big bold form with big form input areas a large text area and generously sized submit button. But that's not all. Answer: You need the RAR EXPANDER which is available as a free download from the Apple website. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Problem: Warning: mail() [function.mail]: "sendmail_from" not set in php.ini or custom "From:" header missing in C:\xampp\htdocs\contact.php Solution: Punch yourself in the face and remember what I said at the start of this tutorial which was "to do EVERYTHING that I do." I can't remember going to Xampp or Wamp or Tramp. You don't know how to configure your Xampp server properly but why do that when the form is already designed for you?? Upload it to a REAL hosting server and it will work just fine and then think about how you could have been finished hours ago if only you had listened to Uncle James. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Problem: Fatal error: Call to undefined function: str_ireplace() in /homepages/12/d88179579/htdocs/contact.php Solution: This is not your fault, your hosting company is cheap and they still run your cheap hosting on a PHP4 configuration. Phone them and tell them to switch you over to PHP5 or above. They will do this for FREE and it they try to charge you then cancel your contract. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Problem: "Everything validates and the message sends but I don't receive it in my email inbox. Please help me." Solution: This can be difficult to diagnose without seeing a link to the form but when you signed up for you hosting plan did you take out: A) a Windows based hosting server or B) a Linux based hosting server? If you chose: A) You are FAIL; windows is ASP not PHP, phone your host and switch plans B) You will need to send me a link to your form. Richard Barrett	:	I was looking for someone to do a website building series with me. I will do most of the work host on both our channels and input any info you want to teach. We can cover every aspect of HTML5 markup, CSS3 styles and maybe some functionality for a snazzy menu or some amazing feature that people will want to create. All this will be validated numerous times throughout on The W3C Markup Validation Service for both HTML5 (experimental) and CSS3. This could be good as people need to start somewhere and its very educational as it includes all parts of the above also jquery and a small amout of php. I would of inboxed but can't find button ha ha but im sure if people are interested they can thu,bs up or comment :) Hope to see some replys soon guys

Forgiven	:	James, I learned a lot from your tutorial and the form works GREAT!. I did part 1 and 2 about a month ago and at that point I had a few minor problems with the shading, rounded edges, and color changes when you click on a form field. I found minor mistakes in my CSS file; but still couldn't get it right. Rather than try to patch up my contact.php, I started over and this time got it right! Thank you for all your time and effort. It's great to understand how it work...much appreciation.
Nathalie Mardik	:	Hi James, I'm not done yet so I'm not going to punch myself in the face, but... all is fine so far but when I click in my div class="submit" to assign its style I don't have to be less specific since it does not see the formWrap. All the previous div are fine except that one. I watched what you did, I even put the script at the same line you did. I'll rewatch your video step by step to see where I messed up, but I'd watch a lil, pause, do what you said, and restart... maybe I made a typo... anyhow, can't have you above my shoulder :(
